The historic landmarks in Albany are many, including many homes of notable Albanians. Ray Charles, legendary singer, pianist and composer, was born and raised in Albany, and a beautiful sculpture of him at a baby grand piano is featured in Ray Charles Plaza in downtown Albany. When you're tired of watching sports on your Albany apartment television, you can catch some live ball playing of the South Georgia Peanuts at the Paul Eanes Sports Complex, or get into some arena football by watching a game with the South Georgia Wildcats.
